Kenneth Edward Olson married Doris Katherine Smith on 20 Nov 1939, at Morris, Stevens County, Minnesota. His parents were Clifford Henry Olson and Elizabeth Louise (Kannenberg) Olson (deceased 1923) of Baker Township, Stevens County, Minnesota.

Kenneth E. Olson, son of Clifford H. and Elizabeth (Kannenberg) Olson, was born Mar. 4, 1918 in Baker Township, Stevens Co., MN. He grew up in the Chokio area, receiving his schooling at the Dist. 32 school of rural Chokio. After his schooling, he began working for various farmers in the Chokio area. On Nov. 20, 1939, he was united in marriage to Doris Smith in Morris.

The couple made their home in the Chokio area where Ken began working as a mechanic for Sletien Implement in Chokio. Soon after, he became the parts man for the dealership. Ken continued in that position at the dealership through the next three owners. The business was first sold to Olson Implement, then it became Stemmler Implement, and eventually returned back to Olson Implement. After his work at the dealership, Ken and Doris bought the Chokio Cafe, which they owned and operated for the next five years. He then worked for a couple years laying cable for a local phone company. After that, he went to work for Hoffman Implement in Graceville, where he stayed until retiring in 1980. They have continued to live in Chokio since that time.

Ken was a member of Our Savior's Luth. Ch. and the Chokio Sportsman Club. Some of his favorite hobbies included woodworking, raising flowers and gardening.

Mr. Olson died Friday, Dec. 13, 1996 at his home in Chokio, having lived to reach the age of 78 years.
