Funeral services for George Deane, 95, Guymon pioneer will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday from Campbell mortuary in Liberal with interment at Guymon cemetery.
Lyman Deane, grandson of the octogenarian will officiate at the service. He is a Jehovah's Witness preacher of Oklahoma City.
Deane died in liberal at 10:30 a. m. Monday after an illness of a year. He had been living in Liberal for three years after having moved there from Guymon.
Surviving are his wife and children, Merle and Mrs. G. H. Beaman of Guymon, Mrs. Herbert Allen of Liberal, Kans, Frank L. Dean of Oklahoma City, Jesse F. and Bryan M. both of Los Angeles, Cal., a sister, Mrs. Clyde Kirk of Patterson, Cal., and a brother, Robert Dean of Royersford, Pa., 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Deane homesteaded west of Guymon in 1907 and had lived in Liberal for three years. He was born in Lexington, KY.
