Emma was born In Brazil, Indiana on Sept. 13, 1894. She was the daughter of John Schratz and Catherine (Dues) Schratz. She lived in Jonesboro, Arkansas until the death of her parents in 1910. She first married Perry Beardsley in 1917 in Summit, Ohio. They had three children : Voulenta, Perry, and Robert. In 1926 she married Joseph Lioars in Lockport, New York. The children by that marriage are: Joseph, Joseph Gene, Mary Rose(Ackerman) Frank Rocco, John Rocco, Catherine Leona (Revell). She was blessed with ten grandchildren .One brother Frank Schratz of Pocahontas, Arkansas and a sister Catherine(Katie) Giuly of Dallas, Texas. (both deceased). She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lockport. She died on May 17,1969 at the Lockport Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Funeral was at St. Joseph's Church with interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
