Rose passed away peacefully on Dec. 27 at the age of 89. Born in Portland, she graduated from Commerce High School. She married Robert Judson in 1946, deceased in 1948. She married Robert McKnight in 1951, and enjoyed 48 years of marriage until his death in 1999. Rose worked at Franklin High School from 1961 until retirement in 1984. She was an avid golfer, an Elkette, and belonged to the Starlighters Dance Club.
She is survived by her children, Janice McKnight, Randi Jorgensen, Greg McKnight; and stepson, Robert E. McKnight; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Dec. 31, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Wilhelm's-Portland Memorial.
