DORA G. (TOMPKINS) BELL , 67, of 600 East 6th St., Rock Falls, died early Monday (14 Jun 1965) morning at Wormolt's Clinic in Oregon at the age of 67. Mr. Bell was born in Buffalo, Ky., on Sept. 9, 1890, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bell. He was united in marriage to Mabel Tompkins on May 4, 1914 and resided their entire married life in this area. He served in World War I. He was a member of the Trinity EUB Church of Sterling, the VFW of Sterling, and the Rock Falls American Legion Post 9902. He had worked at the Northwestern Steel & Wire Co. for 37 years before his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel; one daughter, Mrs. Rodney (Carol) Daniels of Oregon, Ill.; one brother, Sidney Bell of Centralia; three grandchildren, Pam, Randy and Jeff, all of Oregon; one niece, Mrs. Lilly Chance of Knightstown, Ind.; one nephew, John Bell of Dixon. He was preceded by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. Romaine Tenney of the Trinity EUB Church of Sterling officiating, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rock Falls. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
