1st spouse: Virginia Belle Miller. Virginia and William R. were married on 6 March 1887 in Galloway, Greene, Missouri.

2nd spouse: Alice Delaney. Alice and William R. were married 19 Aug 1909 in Sequoyah Co, Oklahoma. Alice's 1st marriage was to Ausborn J. Whaley on 1 January 1890 in Monroe Co, Arkansas.

Children of Virginia and William:

Ozrowe Floyd McDaniel-#35642128
Joseph H. McDaniel-#92105476(burial unknown)
James Emmett McDaniel(burial unknown)

There seems to great confusion on the correct names of the brothers Joseph H. and James Emmett McDaniel. The three boys appear on 1900 census in Clay, Greene, MO with their father, William R. McDaniel. The family is listed on this census as follows: William, Ozrowe, Joseph & Emet.

While Belle McDaniel is on 1900 census in Carthage, Jasper, Missouri living with the Thomas Bond Haughanot family, he is a well know criminal lawyer. Belle is listed as a servant, married 13yrs and has 3 children. Belle was living in the Carthage near her mother, Mary C. Miller and two brothers, Emmett and James H. Miller. Also, her other brother, William H. Miller that was married.

Then Joseph McDaniel appears on 1910 census in Peoria, Ottawa, Oklahoma with his mother, Belle Harr with her second husband, Adam Cornelius Harr. I found the death certificate for Joseph "J.H." McDaniel on FamilySearch. Also, possibly evidence of marriage in Sebastian Co, Arkansas on 27 December, 1915 to Ethel Hobbs. His death certificate says he was married and his WW1 draft registration card said he was married with one child.

The son, James Emmett McDaniel has been the most difficult one to find. There is possible evidence that Emet(always different spellings) was married on 2 September 1911 in Sallisaw, Sequoyah, Oklahoma to a Hettie Carpenter. Possibly another married again on 17 November 1914, Sebastian Co, Arkansas to Nettie Ellis. I'm thinking his name is James Emmett McDaniel because his mother, Virginia Belle Miller had two brothers with the names James and Emmett Miller.

The last census I can find William R. McDaniel is on the 1910 census in McKey, Sequoyah, Ok. William was remarried to Alice Delaney Whaley and her son, Henry Whaley was living in the household. William's oldest son, Ozrowe was also on this 1910 census in McKey, Sequoyah, OK. Ozrowe was newly married to Mary Rosabelle Yocham and they had their first child, Mary M. McDaniel.

Other sibling buried at Grandview Cemetery:
