BLAIR FARMER, NATIVE OF GERMANY, DIES TEN WEEKS AFTER WIFE
Just ten weeks after the death of his wife, 71-year-old Henry Lammers, Sr., farmer near Blair died Saturday. In failing health several years he had held a farm sale recently and was retiring from active farming. Mrs. Lammers had died Jan. 14.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at First Methodist Church. The Rev. Homer L. McKinley of the Christian Church officiated, and burial followed in Blair Cemetery. The Campbell Mortuary was in charge.
Mr. Lammers, born May 10, 1876, was a native of Hanover, Germany. He came to Douglas county, Nebr., when he was 30 years old. For the past 20 years he had farmed near Blair and Kennard. His wife was the former Agnes Markman.
Surviving Mr. Lammers are two sons, Henry Jr., and William, both of Blair; two daughters, Mrs. Hans Vogt (Agnes) of Kennard and Mrs. Ernest Kruger (Marie) of Sioux City; and seven grand-children.
