The Dothan Eagle, Tuesday Afternoon, August 31, 1937 Mrs. Ella Collins, seventy-three, died at her home on Newton Route one yesterday afternoon and funeral services were held this morning. The funeral was at the residence with the Rev. Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Piney Grove Cemetery, Houston in charge. Mrs. Collins was born in Florida but lived in the community near Piney Grove all her life. She was a member of the Piney Grove Church. Survivors are the husband, M. C. Collins; a brother, Allen Adams, Slocomb, and a sister, Mrs. Mandy Ard, Slocomb.
