Alexander married Loretta Cauble (1824-1847) on 04 Jan 1842 at Rowan County, North Carolina. Alexander and Loretta were the parents of three known children, namely:
1. William Agner (1843–1894) (or died 1864?)
2. Henry Calvin Agner (1845–1919)
3. Lewis Agner (???-???)
