Funeral service were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Cheyenne for Sam Kendall who died at his home here Tuesday. Burial occured at Strong City the former home of the deceased.
Mr. Kendall was born in 1855 in Louisiana. At 19 years of age he went to Texas and there married. In 1900 he moved to this country and settled near Roll. For many years he was a respected farmer and citizen of that community and served for twelve years as county commissioner of this county. He had been a resident of Cheyenne for a number of years prior to his death.
Mr. Kendall had been in failing health for a number of years. He is survived by his widow, six sons and three daughters.
