Marnie Cae Barrett, born March 3, 1971, died of natural causes on December 27, 2012. Although she lived a life of great pain and loss, Marnie also found great joy in empathizing with others who suffered. One of the loves of her life was God's creatures, especially her bunny, Chai. Another was living, teaching and traveling abroad, including Indonesia, the Czech Republic and Brazil. Marnie believed very strongly in organ donation, and her hair will be donated to Locks of Love.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Catherine and Lawton Lowry and Edith and Virgil Barrett, her older brother, Kristopher Van Barrett, and her beloved Persian kitty, Zoe.

Survivors include her parents, Van and Julie Barrett of Conway, her sister Sloan Hedrick and spouse Cameron of New York City, her brother Kaleb and spouse JJ of Conway, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces Abby and Emma Hedrick, nephews Jack Derden and Charlie Barrett.

A memorial service will follow in several weeks. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
