Captain (Roswell) R.A. Roswell Button moved into the old Jacob Bower (my relative) Homestead and had abandoned it by the time the Bower reunion occurred in 1888, when the Bower family used the unoccupied house. I found this on the internet: From clipping of a local newspaper; "Captain Roswell A. Button of Mesoptamia, OH on June 17 1898 was in the post office of his town, waiting for his mail and while there entered into conversation with others. When the mail was distributed he inquired for and received his mail and started home. He had gone but a few steps when he fell to the ground and immediately expired. It was not to exceed two minutes after his mail was handed him that he was a corpse. He was seen to fall and the two people assembled very soon and carried him to his home. If he had lived ten more days he would have been 76 years old."
