James Wilmer Bowles Jr., nickname "Bill," 66, a resident of Annapolis and Naples, FL, and previously of Glenelg, died December 28 in Annapolis, following a one month illness with lung cancer.

He was born February 3, 1946 in Leonardtown, graduating from Mount St. Mary's College as a history major. Bill worked for Baltimore Air Coil from 1972 to 1991, becoming President and CEO of Evapco, Inc. from 1990 to 2004.

An avid boater, he was the Eastport Cup Champion in 2011. Bill also enjoyed fishing, golf, presidential history, and his Catholic faith.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary's Nursing Center Foundation, P.O. Box 904, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
