Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Barron, 68, died at 9:35 p.m. yesterday at Community Memorial Hospital, whre she had been a patient for two weeks. She was a resident of the Patrick Rest Home, 1127 Henry, prior to entering the hospital. Her home previously had been at 731 Franklin Avenue.
Born Jan. 1, 1900, southwest of Moberly, Mrs. Barron was the daughter of Francis Marion and Ellia Lynn Hunt. She lived most of her life in Moberly, and was a member of the Salem Baptist Church.
Surviving are 14 children, Muril, Ronald, Gerald Wayne, Ralph, Mrs Arthur Ransdell, Mrs. W. B. Huntsman and Mrs. Gladys Barron, all of Moberly; Mrs. Joe Ware, Higsbee; Mrs. Charles White, Jacksonville; Everett Franklin Barron, St. Louis; Alfred Ray Barron, Macon; Virgil Barron, Chicago, Ill.; and Vernis Barron, Middle Grove; one brother, Roy Hunt, Moberly; 27 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
The body is at Cater Funeral Home, where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. William Stone, Durham Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will start at 7 p.m. today.
