Mary H. Tucker was born on 20 Nov 1917 in Susquehanna, Susquehanna Co, PA the daughter of Raymond Stephen Tucker and Nellie Maria Wood. She was also the younger sister of Walter Raymond "Tommy" Tucker.

Mary H. Alberta of Deposit, NY was born November 20, 1917 in Susquehanna, PA, the daughter of Raymond and Nellie Tucker. She passed away at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City, NY on Sunday, December 16, 2012.

Surviving her are four children: Joyce (John) Banks of Deposit, Shirley Clark of Mooresville, NC, Carol Ann (Al) Griffin of Lynchburg, VA, and Richard (Jeanette) Alberta of Green Bay WI; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 18 great great-grandchildren; a very special friend, Maria Massch and a very wonderful pet cocker spaniel, Colby Banks - she thought the world of him; also surviving: a niece, Linda (Al) Craven and nephew, Mark (Jeannie) Tucker.

She was an 83 year member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was an elder and member of the choir for many years. She was a 52 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a long time member of the Deposit Historical Society. She worked as a clerk and kitchen worker at Griffins Bake Shop for many years and as a clerk in Bassin's Department Store for 16 years until she retired. She attended Senior meals in Deposit and Hancock for many years. She made friends with everyone she met. She was a great citizen of Deposit. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 21 at the Deposit First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Len Bjorkman officiating. Friends may call at the church on Friday from noon until 1 p.m. time of service. Weather permitting, interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery at Deposit. Arrangements are through the Zacharias Funeral Home in Deposit.
