STERLING-- Victor L. Unruh, 77, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson.

Mr. Unruh was born June 6, 1935 at Hutchinson, the son of Jacob and Leota Thomas Unruh.

He was a Sterling resident since 2006, formerly of Clay Center. He graduated from Buhler High School, Buhler. He was a retired foreman for Rainbow Bakery at Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leslie Unruh. Survivors include one son, Darrell Unruh of Sterling; one daughter, Tamara Schroeder and husband Darrel of Sterling; three grandchildren; and three sisters, Leanna Smith of Miltonvale, Phebe Hodgson of Sterling and Melva Cummings of Kansas City, Mo.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling, with the Rev. Dale Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Zoar Cemetery, Inman, Kan. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice House of Reno County in care Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling.
