Ret. Msgt. John J. Chilcott, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Monday, April 4, 2011.
Ret. Msgt. Chilcott was born in Hugo, Colorado on October 19, 1926. He proudly served in the United States Army for 30 years. Serving in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. After his service to his country he began a 20 year career with Civil Service.
Ret. Msgt. Chilcott was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Chilcott and his wife, Ruth. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Eleonore Chilcott, his son Peter J. Chilcott and his wife, daughter Doris McMinn, 2 grandchildren Eric Chilcott and his wife, Kimberly, Shana Warner and her husband, Patrick. He is also survived by his 2 great grandchildren Seth and Taylor Warner, nephew Robert Chilcott and his wife Judy , and niece Susan Thomas and husband Eldon.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 7th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Kaster Maxon and Futrell Funeral Home, 8817 Dyer. Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 8th at 9:30 AM at Funeraria del Angel Kaster Maxon and Futrell . Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to the Humane Society of El Paso, 4991 Fred Wilson Avenue, El Paso, TX 79906.
