Claude Palmer, Jr., 72, of Homer, died Sept. 30 at Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Mr. Palmer was born July 16, 1921, in Champaign, the son of Claude E. and Ethel McElroy Palmer. Surviving are two brothers. Mr. Palmer was a member of the Homer United Methodist Church, Homer.
Funeral services were held Oct. 4 at Carrington Funeral Home, Fairmount. Rev. Scott McMurray officiated. Burial was held in GAR Cemetery, Homer. (transcribed by Homer Historical Society)
