GOSSETT, Daniel Thomas
Dan passed away on July 8, 2005, at age 67. He was born in Honolulu, HI, to the late Lula Mae and Orien Pratt Gossett. At the age of three, Dan helped defend Pearl Harbor with his pop-gun; he later served in the Marine Corps and the National Guard. A life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was also a Rotarian, an avid gun collector and an accomplished polyglot. He earned a B.S. from Brigham Young University and an M.S. from National University. Dan is survived by his wife Maryann, his former wife Astrid, his daughters Katherine and Melanie, and his granddaughters Allison, Alexandra, and Aidan. He is also survived by a brother, a sister, nieces, nephews, stepdaughters, and many step-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, at PRICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 6335 Sunrise Blvd., (916) 725-2109, and funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15, at 10:00 AM at the LDS Garfield Building (4252 Garfield Ave., Carmichael).
