Elmer W. Stock Jr., 67, of 902 Webster Street died Tuesday night at Oak Knoll Retirement Home after a long illness. Services will be Friday at the George L. Gay Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:30 p.m. today.
Mr. Stock was born April 28 1902 in Lone Tree to William F and Fredericka (Rossman) Stock. He farmed until 1954 when he moved to Iowa City and worked for the City Street Department. He married Helen McArtor Feb. 14, 1931, at Muscatine. He also was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include his widow; a son, Kenneth of Iowa City; one granddaughter; a brother, Howard of Lone Tree, and two sisters, Mrs. Wilbur (Wilma) Idle of Lone Tree and Mrs. John (Hazel) Kutcher of Muscatine.
