A native of Mulberry, Arkansas, she had moved to Oklahoma in 1923.
She had worked for Seismographic Corporation and McDonnell-Douglas Company in Tulsa. She was a past president of the Broken Arrow American Legion Auxiliary, a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her husband, James of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Bennett and Mrs. Lavonne Powers, both of Tulsa and Mrs. Flossie Grimes of Broken Arrow; four sons, J.W. Shook of Wagoner, Odell N. Shook of Tulsa, E.L. Shook of New Orleans, Louisiana and R.L. Shook of Lamesa, Texas; one sister, Ms. Bonnie Johnson of Oildale, California; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
