Sharon A. Boutto, 72, Virginia, formerly of Britt and Cook, passed away at the Virginia Regional Medical Center on Monday, December 24, 2012.

She was born Sharon Ann Altobelli on July 18, 1940, to Nicholas "Nick" and Verona (Gasparich) Altobelli. She grew up and was schooled in Virginia, then completed the X-Ray Technician's Course of study at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. She was united in marriage to Dennis A. Boutto on August 20, 1960 in Virginia. The couple lived in Minneapolis for 5 years, where Dennis was a computer analyst for Honeywell. They returned to northern Minnesota, residing in Britt for 20 years. They retired and moved to Lake Vermilion in 1992. After health concerns they moved into Cook, and have resided in Virginia recently. She and Dennis both had a compassion for others in need of help. Sharon was a longtime dedicated volunteer for cancer drives. She loved painting, especially in oils and enjoyed attending painting classes and seminars. She also liked the challenge of working a good cross-word puzzle.

Her family fondly recalls her greatest accomplishment was that of a devoted wife and loving mother. Family and friends will miss her smile and happy, positive outlook on life.
She and Dennis shared many good times having family and friends over for cards and conversation. She will be missed by all those who came to know her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis on October 25, 2012.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday (Jan. 3rd, 2013) at Mlaker Funeral Home in Cook, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior. Father John O'Donnell will be the officiant. Spring interment will be Cook Community Cemetery.
