Mr. Bassett was born January 31, 1917 in Green Bay, WI. He graduated from Green Bay West High School and Carroll College where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Robert was a sales engineer with McGill Manufacturing/Emerson Electric of Valparaiso, IN for 37 years. He served in the Marine Corps during WWII, was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn, the Elks and Masonic Temple. Robert enjoyed fishing, golf, walking and was an avid Packer fan. Robert was preceded by his beloved wife, Mary E.; survived by his loving sons, Craig and Jeff (Nancy) Bassett; cherished grandchildren, Ben Douglass, J.R. Bassett, Nikolas Bassett and dear brother, Lee (Mary Jane) Bassett. A private memorial service and inurnment will be held at Fort Howard Cemetery in Green Bay, WI.
