Betty A. Thamann Kampsen, 85, of Crescent Springs died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Hawthorn Glen Nursing Center, Middletown, Ohio. She was a retired secretary with the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Survivors include sons Bernard A. (Connie) Kampsen of Cincinnati and Robert E. (Kay) Kampsen of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren Amy R. Kampsen of Orland Park, Illinois and Andrea L. Roberts of Houston, Texas; great-grandchildren Cameron M. Kampsen, Kristan J. Roberts, and W. Alexander Roberts; and former daughter-in-law Mary C. Geiger Kampsen.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Edward Kampsen, brother Jerome A. Thamann, sister Marie Loraine Herbstreit, and parents Henry and Catherine Elizabeth "Elsie" Bruegge Thamann.
Visitation is Friday, December 28, 2012 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. John Church, Covington. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Noon at the church. Private interment. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington is serving the family.
