Margaret was born April 24, 1924, in Peoria, the daughter of James Henry Allen and Mary Maybelle (Dean) Allen of Havana.
She retired from Caterpillar in Morton.
She was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother and was known for her musical talents. She played several different instruments and sang harmony and backup in the 1950s in a band with her first husband, Bill Taylor, and her second, Olee Renfroe. She also sang with the group "Sister's Three."
Margaret is survived by five children, Wendy Milner of Edgewater, Fla., Terry Renfroe of Edgewater, Fla., Kim Renfroe of Houston, Texas, DeAnna Hambly of Greenville, Texas, and Kevin Renfroe of Texarkana, Texas. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by both her parents; her husbands, Olee Renfroe and Ralph E. Brown; one grandson, Brian Renfroe (son of Terry Renfroe); and 10 brothers and sisters.
Margaret's ashes will be interred at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
