"Funeral services will be held... for George E. Burkey, 68, who died suddenly early yesterday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Carl Ruff of East Rochester.
The son of the late John and Emma Stadler Burkey, Mr. Burkey was born Aug. 9, 1896 at Sterling, Va. He had been a resident of New Alexander for five years, moving there from Marlboro. Mr. Burkey was a farmer and had been employed in the Hartville Swamp for 15 years. In addition to Mrs. Ruff, Mr. Burkey is survived by another sister, Mrs. Kermit Chapman of Hartville.
