WILLIAM T. CLEARY

EL PASO -- William T. "Bill" Cleary, 70 of 839 W. Hazel Ave., Decatur, an El Paso native, died at 5:10 p.m. Saturday (Feb 9, 1985) at Americana Healthcare Center, Decatur.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St Thomas Catholic church, Decatur. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Brintlinger-Pershing Funeral Home, Decatur, with prayer service at 7 p.m.
He was born Nov 12, 1914 in El Paso, a son of William J. and Anna Krones Cleary. He married Lois Magnuson in 1942 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Kevin, Timothy, Gregory and James, all of Decatur; and Charles, Chicago; one daughter, Jana Sexton, Philadelphia; his stepmother, Clara Cleary, Chicago; one brother, John, Chicago; five sisters, Mary F Jones, Springfield; Joann Klain, San Rafael, Calif.; Ritaclare Cleary, Chicago; Clare Lane, Evanston; and Rita Smith, Cleveland; and 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Cleary retired in 1977 after 41 years employment at Caterpillar Tractor Co., Decatur, working with the Layout and Planning Department.
He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, Decatur; Elks Lodge No. 401 and Knights of Columbus Council 577.
Memorial may be made to the hospice programs of St. Mary's and Decatur Memorial hospitals.
