Services for Miss Sarah Catherine (Miss Kate) Bigby, 85, who died February 8 in the Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital, were held February 12 in the Roberts Chapel in Westville with Bro. Bob Hall of Stilwell officiating. Miss Bigby, born August 6, 1888, six miles west of Stilwell, had lived in Westville for more than 46 years. She retired in 1953 after more than 28 years of service as telephone operator and manager of the Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Westville. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including four of whom she reared: Mrs. Elizabeth Meech and Mrs. Vera Mayberry, both of Westville, Mrs. Sue Miller, Wagoner, and Mrs. Eula Alexander, Santa Ana, Calif.; and Clarence and Watt Bibgy of Washington.
Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Stilwell.
