PARIS HICKMAN, son of William and Mary McPherson Hickman, was born about 1774 in Sumpter Dist., S. C., and died at Neshoba Co., Mississippi, 21 May 1838. He executed a Will in Neshoba, Co. on 12 Dec. 1831 in which he devided his slaves, property, and money among his wife and children. His Will is recorded in Will Book A, pg. 2,3 of the records of the State of Mississippi, Neshoba County.

He married Mary Margaret "Polly" Alexander and lived in S. C., and Pickens Co., Ala. before moving to Neshoba Co., Mississippi.

Their children were: 1. William Austin, born 1805, died 1883, in Skullyville Co., Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, married Sarah P. McAdory, and they are both buried in Page Cemetery at Pocola, Oklahoma.; 2. John A., born 1810; 3. Robert W. F., born 1812; 4. Samuel F., born 1815, died about 1874, married Lucy Fillmoontubbee (Choctaw). 5. Tabitha, born 1817, married David Donald (lived and died in Miss.) 6. Joshua, born 1818; 7. Ladson Fraser, born 1820, died 2 Dec 1895, married Rebecca Josephine Ross. Ladson F. Hickman is buried in the Folsom (Hickman) cemetery at Pocola, Oklahoma and his wife Rebecca is buried in the "Garden of Memories" cemetery at Spiro, Ok. 8. Elias L. F., born 1820, twin brother of Ladson, died 1862 during the Civil War. 9. Jane, born about 1822, married _______Ellis. 10. Lettis, born about 1825, married ________Parker.

Mary Alexander Hickman, still living 1860 Census for Neshoba Co., Miss., age 80. Her date of death and burial unknown.

Family history indicates that Paris and Mary Alexander Hickman are buried in unmarked graves in the Sandtown Cemetery, Neshoba Co., Miss.
