Conesville- Ernest Victor Chown, 74, of Conesville, died at 9:45 A.M. Sunday at his home.
A son of Charles R. and Laura Honts Chown, he was born June 23, 1894 at rural Conesville. He married Grace Honts August 31, 1916. Mr. Chown was a farmer in the Lone Tree and Conesville area until retiring a few years ago and moving to Conesville. survivors are the widow Mrs. Grace Chown; two brothers Verle Chown of Lamoni and Russell Chown of Muscatine; one sister, Mrs. Loy (Anita) Cavanaugh of Davenport; one half sister, Mrs. Jason (Frances) Wolford, Conesville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stacy Lewis Funeral home, Rev. Earl E. Josten will officiate. Burial wil be at Conesville Cemetery.
