Joseph Dahlke, 83, 129 Adrian St., Wausau, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at a Wausau hospital.
Services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church, both in Wausau. The Rev. John Hogan will officiate and burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where a parish vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Mr Dahlke was born March 1, 1893, in Marathon, son of Mr and Mrs John Dahlke. On May 7, 1918, in Marathon, he married Susan Fochs who survives. Mr Dahlke was a retired employee of the Wausau Iron Works.
Survivors besides his wife include three sons, Harold (Bud), 321 N 12th Ave, Harvey, 1234 S Eighth Ave., both of Wausau, and Jerome, Memphis, Tennessee; three daughters, Mrs Herb Gripentrog, 215 W Eighth Ave., and Mrs. James Siewert, 228 N 10th Ave., all of Wausau; 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
