Stroud, Veda Mae (nee Brockett), born June 6, 1915 in Butler County Missouri passed peacefully to her heavenly home on December 21, 2012 at the age of 97, of complications from a fall. She was predeceased by her parents, Edgar Brockett and Gertrude Clark Brockett, her husband, Earl L Stroud, Sr, an infant daughter, sisters Virginia Morrow, Ruth Brockett, Esther Coleman, and brother, Joe Brockett. She is survived by sons Earl L. (Carole) Stroud, Jr, Richard E. Stroud, grandchildren Julie Stroud, Bonnie (Joe) Define, Linda Zajac, David (Tiffany Maune) Stroud, Renee (Don) Jackson, and Eric Stroud, eight greatgrandchildren, and 2 great-greatgrandchildren, twin sister, Vera Hayman and 16 nieces and nephews.Veda was a long time member of St. Paul's Evangelical Church in Creve Coeur, MO. Services: The Memorial Service celebrating Veda's life will be held at St. Paul's Evangelical Church, 9801 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, MO at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Evangelical Church or to Beverly Farm at 6301 Humbert Rd. Godfrey, IL 62035.
