George G. Evans, 72, life-long Clearfield County resident, died at his home, 319 Walnut street, at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Graham Township on February 8, 1869, he was a son of the late J. M. and Elizabeth Parker Evans. He was united in marriage to Annie E. Mumper of Ramey on February 26, 1895.

A good neighbor, loving father and devoted husband, he is survived by his widow, and the following children: David and Hrold of Clearfield; Leonard of Cameron County, Mrs. Mildred Zimmerman of Hyde; Charles, Eugene, Ruth, Mary and Florence at home. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: William E. Evans, j. Madison Evans, Dora Evans and Mrs. P. T. Flaharty all of Clearfield.

Funeral services were held from the residence at 2 o'clock Friday, July 4, with Rev. R. R. Lehman officiating. Interment was made in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
