Mary Frieda Petersen, 93, of Ashkum passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Merkle-Knipprath Nursing Home in Clifton.
She was born October 16, 1919 in Chatsworth, the daughter of Adolph and Ruth Entwistle Zorn. She married Arnold Rigsby in 1941 in Fairbury. He preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Paul Zorn and one grandson, Douglas VanWinkle. She later married Delmer Petersen in April 1976 in Fairbury. He survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Carol Haas, Linda (Ervin) VanWinkle and Ruth (Jim) Winterland; one son, Dale (Cathy) Rigsby; one step-daughter, Ruth (Darryl) Kleinert; one step-son, Roy (Vicky) Petersen; nine grandchildren; eighteen step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; twenty-eight step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.
