Martin York Dulaney, 93, died Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the Courtyards Community Living Center. He was born February 28, 1919, in Itawamba County to Clifford Aaron and Hassie Mae York Dulaney. He was a carpenter and truck driver during his working years. He lived in Kenosha, WI; Tacoma, WA; and San Diego, CA, before returning home to Itawamba County. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He served his country in the U. S. Army in World War II, serving in the 1st Calvary Division in the South Pacific. He earned a number of medals including the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, and two Bronze Stars. He was an avid fisherman.

Services will be at 10 a. m. Saturday, December 22, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Danny Rushing officiating. Burial will be in the Walton Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by one son, Martin York DuLaney, Jr.; his parents; five sisters, Vetress Adams, Juanita Stockton, Faye Palmer, Jimmie Lynn Shoemaker, and Annie Lou Palmer; and one brother, Lawrence Dulaney.

Visitation will be from 9 a. m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
