Miss Susannah Kessler was born on March
29, 1842 in Hancock county, Indiana, and
passed away at Frankfort, Kansas on
March 30, 1915 at the age of 75 years.
She was married to F.M. Hendricks on
February 17, 1858 in Mercer county,
Illinois; he passed away three years ago
at his home in Frankfort. To this union
was born eight children; E.A. Hendricks
Marathon, Iowa, Sigle Hendricks and Mrs.
S.K. Wilson of Anita, Iowa, Mrs. L.R.
Dickey, Adair, Iowa, Mrs. L.R. Littler,
Brandon, Canada, Rev. H.W. Hendricks,
Ringgold, Iowa and L.L. Hendricks, of
Frankfort, Kansas with whom she was
residing. Five children were present
when at the end. Death was caused by
pneumonia and complications. She also
leaves twenty-three grandchildren, eight
great-grandchildren; two brothers and
three sisters.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday
March 31 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend
L.R. South officiating.
Burial was in the Willow Hill Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
