ALLEN

Thomas H. Allen, 81 years old, a highly respected citizen, died Saturday night at his home on Bourbon Street following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the grave in the Georgetown cemetery. The Rev. Dr. F.W. Eberhardt officiated.
Mr. Allen was the son of Buford E. Allen, pioneer Baptist minister and was one of Morgan's Men, having been in Company A, Eighth Kentucky Calvary.
Surviving are five children, George H. Allen, Mrs. J.T. Woodson, Miss Eleanora G. Allen, Miss Kate Allen, all of Georgetown; and Mrs. R.W. Keene, of Louisville; and one grandchild, Miss Elizabeth Woodson.
Pall-bearers were active: G.H. Nunnelley. A.B. Barkley, Sr., W.Z. Thomson, A. C. Brown, J.G. Bradford, E. P. Weathers, Buford Allen and R.A. Finnell; honorary, Walter Shropshire, Mike Haggard, Elley Blackburn, W,N. Offutt.
Out-of-town friends attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Keene, Louisville; Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Allen, Miss Anna Wallis, Mrs. Sidney Delong, Miss Mary Scrugham, Mr. Ed Weathers, Mrs. Earl Shropshire, Mrs. H.P.
