Thomas Henry Marshall was elected to the Maine house in 1857 & 1858. He then served two years in the Maine State Senate where he was elected president in 1860.
He became a major in the the 4th Maine Infantry regiment. Marshall transferred to the Seventh Maine as Lt. Commander, but died of fever with 80 of his men in Baltimore shortly thereafter.
