Contrary to Death Certificate information Emily was the daughter of Carlton Bowman and Rebecca Madden or Honecker. Honecker is close to Henecke. This poster descends from Carlton and Rebecca. Older brother of Emily was, Joseph Nelson Bowman, my gggrandfather. Joseph is buried in Farmington Cemetery, but with out a marker. We cannot find the graves for Carlton, known as "Town" Bowman in the 1900 census living in Bridgeport. Nor do we have any info on Rebecca.
Information for researchers: The Bowman family must be divided into two separate family groups. With out the memorials for the parents, the family cannot be joined.
Half siblings are; John Bowman b 1822 in Maryland, Elias, b. 1826, Maryland, Alfred b.1828, Maryland, Wesley b.1829, Maryland, William b 1830, Maryland, the mother of the above was Mary [Polly] Winesburg[h] Polly is believed buried in or around West Alexander Pa.
Full siblings born on Short Creek WVa are; Richard,b 1840, Mary Jane,b-1842, Joseph, 1844, Henry C 1844,Hamilton,
1848, Elmira, 1849, Sarah Mellissa,1858, Sophia, 1859.
Mother of the above is Rebecca Madden or Honeker.
We have never heard the names, James Bowman Or Louise Heneke until found in Emily's Obit. We have no idea where they came from.
