Newspaper column obituary: Homer Davis, 70, of 21 N. Adams St. died today at his home after a short illness. Mr. Davis was a native of Illinois and an Akron resident 44 years. He retired in 1963 from Goodyear, where he had 40 years of service. He was a member of the East Akron Eagles. He leaves his wife Inez, a daughter Mrs. Joyce Weesner, in Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Lienhart in Illinois, Mrs. Mary Officer in California and Mrs. Maude Jones in Wisconsin; four brothers, Kester in California, Joe in Arizona, and Jessie and Victor, both in Illinois; and one granddaughter. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Kesler funeral home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Mt. Peace cemetery.

Note: One granddaughter would be Suzanne Weesner.
