MRS. JOHN HICKLE

Relatives and friends in this community were greatly shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. John Hickle, which occurred at her home near Confidence on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 1923, at the age of 25 years, 10 months and 13 days, after a brief illness with pneumonia.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 6th, followed by interment in the Cemetery at Confidence.

Frances Allison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Allison, was born in Chariton, Iowa, on January 21, 1898, and grew to young womanhood here. She was married on Sept. 11, 1916 to Mr. John Hickle, who survives her. Four children were born to them, two of whom died in infancy. Those living are John Jr., aged six and Helen, aged 3, and are bereft of a loving mother's care.

She is also survived by her father, J. L. Allison, of Chariton, and by two brothers and three sisters, J. B. Allison, of Chariton; Charles S. Allison, of St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. Nellie Rolls, of Des Moines; Mrs. Stella Hellyer, of Promise City; Mrs. Elva King, of St. Louis.

Several years ago the family moved to Confidence where they have since resided. Many warm friends will deplore the demise of Mrs. Hickle and will extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.
