BEVERLY CARTER
PECKS MILL, W.Va. — Mrs. Beverly Ann Carter, 55, of Pecks Mill, was born August 2, 1957, at Logan, a daughter of the late James and Betty Martin Adkins. She departed this life Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the CAMC General Division at Charleston.
Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and a member of the Mill Creek Church of God, where she loved to go. She was a precious wife, loving mother and grandmother and served the Lord for over 35 years.
Also preceding her in death was a sister, Vivian Baisden; grandparents, Cleve and Cecelia Adkins and George and Susan Woody Martin, and sister-in-law, Yvette McFadden.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Carter; children, Melissa (Ben) Martinez of Dingess, and Christy (Charlie) Stafford and Stephanie Duty, both of Pecks Mill; grandchildren, Destiny Martinez, Jocelyn Stafford, Abigail Martinez, Mason Stafford and Kayla Martinez; brothers, David (Debbie) Adkins and Raymond (Eloise) Adkins, both of Henlawson; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Tishie Carter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mabel Ferrell of Danville, Betty (Gary) Moore of Braxton County, Sadie White of Ottawa, Bill (Betty) Carter, Ida (Roger) Walls, and Alton Carter, all of Pecks Mill, Bobby (Donna) Carter of Dingess, Martha (Roger) Frye of Bruno, Debbie (Stacy) Dingess of Chapmanville, and Patricia (Clarence) Lee of Beckley, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, December 21, at the Mill Creek Church of God at Pecks Mill with Rev. Trent Belford officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville is serving the Carter family in handling the arrangements.
