Services for Billy J. Allen, 57, Arp, are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 21, at the Rose Heights Church of God, Tyler, with the Reverend Bo Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the Elkins Cemetery, in the Omen Community, Smith County, under the direction of Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton.

Mr. Allen died Monday, November 19, in a Tyler hospital. He was born January 31, 1950, in Overton to the late Willie Samuel and Marie Hanson Allen. He was a lifetime resident of the Arp area and was a graduate of Arp High School. He retired from Delek Refining, Tyler in September 2006, following 22 years employment.

Mr. Allen was Vice-President of the Arp Youth Sports Association. He was a member of the Rose Heights Church of God, Tyler.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years; two sons and a daughter-in-law; two daughters and a son-in-law; a brother; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Morris Shores, Billy Oliver, Jared Shores, Steve Allen, Phil Cloke, and Ken Gillispie.

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 20.
