Edward 'Eddie' Adams was born on Sept. 16, 1919, in Lansdale, Pa., and passed away March 28, 2012, in Tyler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Rose Idella Adams, and his wife, Rae Banks Adams.
He is survived by his daughter Vicki Johnson; son Randy Adams; grandchildren, Michael Adams, Matt Johnson, Kendall Adams, Katherine Adams and great-granddaughter Allyson Adams.
Edde had a very full and active life, serving in the U.S. Navy for 8 years and working for Sun Oil for 37 years in Dallas.
He was married to Rae for 60 years and traveled often during his retirement. Edde's love for God, strong faith and active Christian life was an inspiration and model for all.
The family and close friends will have a burial service for Eddie at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas on Sunday, April 1, 2012. A memorial service and celebration of Edde's life will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Glennwood Church of Christ in Tyler.
