I think his death was in Madison. I'm not sure of the exact place in Ireland where he and his siblings were born. His wife was Ida Mae (Sterner)Brannian. His family, parents John M. and Mary or Margaret (Bell) Brannian and his siblings, including Rachel nee Brannian McQuitty, emigrated to this country from what is now Northern Ireland in about 1864, after all the kids were born. I believe they came from Monahan, in Ulster County. Depending on the source, they first stayed in either New York City with relatives, or in Buffalo, Erie County, New York. The family eventually moved to Illinois, and then Iowa. At some point, Benjamin had some type of major falling out with his family, and left. None of them knew where he was for the rest of their lives, as far as I know. Benjamin wound up in Madison, NE, where he met and married Ida Mae Sterner and had 2 kids--Ralph and Harry. He died in 1900, after getting pneumonia from being caught out in a snowstorm. If anyone knows where Benjamin's parents are buried, I'd really appreciate it if you could share that with me.
