number 9 of 11 children, Sophia was born to Willard and Mary (Ferguson)Edson in Stockridge,N.Y. on 5/6/1850. She married Samuel Jefferson Morrison 7/17/1878 in Tidioute, Pa.They had 3 daughters: Georgia Ellen, Jessie Florence,and Christine and one son Little Hugh (1891-1894).By 1900,this family had moved from Deerfield,Pa to Mannington, W.Va. Samuel Jefferson died there in 1902. In June of 1903,Georgia married Ray C. Coulter. They had 7 children. In 1919 Georgia Ellen and James Edward (her youngest son) died from the pandemic flu. Sophia and Christine moved with Ray Coulter and the children to Quay,Oklahoma (there by 1920). Sophia is buried next to Christine and Ray Coulter in Lawson Cem.
