John passed away Dec. 12, 2012, at the Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital at Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was born Feb. 27,1934, in Redrock to Evelyn Fairbank Simpson and Henry Simpson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Simpson, his brother Tom Simpson, his son John David Simpson Jr., and his grand daughter Misty Ann Burke. He is survived by his wife Suzanne C. Simpson, his daughters, Diana Burke of Bozeman, Dena Miller married to Rob Miller of Alder, Debbie Broksle married to Tom(Tater) Broksle from Sheridan, and his son Dennis Simpson From Bozeman, his sister Monica Orr married to Tom Orr From Troutdale, Ore., his sister-in-law Kay Simpson Walker from Lewiston, Idaho, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1959 and went to College in Kansas City where he became and electrical engineer with North American Rockwell where he worked with NASA putting a man on the moon.
John was a well loved husband, father and my best friend and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held Thursday December 20 at 3:00 PM from the Church of the Valley at Twin Bridges, Montana with Rev. Jim Jenkins officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Twin Bridges Cemetery.
