Dies Suddenly
Arthur "Duane" Beemer, 39, of Gladwin, died suddenly Thursday, May 1. Born in Harrison on Sept. 28, 1929, he had lived in Gladwin County the past 10 years. Mr. Beemer was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of VFW Post 3033, Mt. Pleasant.
He was married to the former Bonnie Thorington on July 11, 1954, in Gladwin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Beemer, of Harrison; three sons, Mark, Matthew and Michael, at home; One daughter, Thressia, at home; four brothers, Phil, William and Fred, of Harrison and Oliver, Of Flint; and one sister, Mrs. Donna Lee Wilcox, of Royal Oak.
Rites were held Saturday at 2 p. m. from the Coker Funeral Home in Harrison. Elder Dale
Beavers officiated and burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Harrison. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home. Gladwin County Record dated 5-7/1969 Column - 6 Page - 1.
