NORTHFIELD - Mrs Adéline L. Bélanger, 101, died Saturday morning in the Mayo Nursing Home here where she had been a resident for the past four years.

She was born in Chicopee, Mass., June 27, 1877, daughter of Nazaire and Agnés (Boisvert) Lafond.

In 1697, she was married to Joseph Bélanger. Her husband died in 1933.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Francis Healy, Burlington; Mrs Joan MacKenzie, Northfield; and Mrs. William O'Brien, Williamstown; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildern and eight great-great-grandchildren. Another daughter, Mrs. Eselle Foss died in February this year.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Rev. Gerald Brochu in St. John the Evangelist Church here Monday at 10 a.m.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery,

Friends may call at the Kingston Funeral Home here Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mayo Nursing Home, Richardson Avenue, Northfield.

NORTHFIELD - A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church here for Mrs. Adéline L. Blanger, 101, who died Saturday. The Reverand Gerald Brochu was celebrant and William Spear was at the organ. The soloist was Mrs. Leslie Seaver.

Bearers were Jack and Jerry MacKenzie, Northfield, Gene Foss, Plainfield; Donald Mattson, Hartford, Conn.; Stephen Harrness, Grand Isle and Mitchell Harrness, Keene N.H.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Northfield.

A prayer service was conducted Sunday night in the Kingston Funeral Home by Father Brochu.
