Bobbie Allen Bruin, 72, husband to Sheila House Bruin, passed away December 13, 2012 in Georgetown, Kentucky. He was born January 18, 1940 in Scott County, Kentucky to the late Charles and Mable Smith Bruin.


He was a retired Sergeant for the Georgetown Police Department and member of Georgetown Baptist Church.


Along with his wife he is survived by children, Cindy King, Sherri Stanfield, and Bobbie D. Bruin all of Georgetown; step children, Joe Miller of Owen County and Tracy Helton of Lexington; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; brother, Charles "Jack" Bruin of Stamping Ground; sisters, Sue Allen of Stamping Ground, Bettie Devers and Linda Long both of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by brother and sisters; Billie Bruin, Patsy Swift, and Lily Johnson.


Funeral services are 11 am Monday, December 17, 2012 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens with pallbearers being Jackie Ray Allen, Calvin Devers, Jason Offutt, J.C. House, Shannon Offutt, and Adam King. Honorary bearers are Jamie Long, Clinton House, Danny House, Rick True, and Darrell Jones.
